The building sector is at the forefront of adopting and promoting green practices and technologies.
As stakeholders embrace sustainable building practices, the Confederation of Indian Industry's (CII)
Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) continues to spearhead the green building movement in
India, as it has done for the last two decades.
There is growing evidence that green buildings not only conserve resources but also enhance the
quality of life for their occupants. With the spotlight shifting to people and their wellness, the IGBC
is working with stakeholders—including state and central governments, NGOs, bilateral and
multilateral agencies like the WorldGBC—in pursuit of this mission.
With 13 billion sq. ft. of green spaces going the IGBC way, India is among the top two in the world
in terms of registered green building footprint.
The 23rd edition of IGBC's flagship event, the Green Building Congress, further advances the
green building movement with its much-acclaimed conference and ever-growing expo.
The expo, which is increasingly taking center stage, serves as a premier platform for industry leaders and
innovators to exhibit the latest advancements in green building technologies, products, and
solutions. Focused on the theme "Advancing Net Zero in Buildings & Built Environment," the
expo provides a unique opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their contributions to the
sustainability movement. As the event embraces the global drive toward a net zero future,
participating in the expo places exhibitors at the forefront of shaping India’s green building
landscape.
As always, the Green Building Congress conference brings together thinkers, doers, and
policymakers on one platform to brainstorm solutions for creating more sustainable living and
working spaces. Attendees can expect to be exposed to visionary ideas and stimulating
conversations throughout the event.
